The Pitch
A love story, one should never be able to forget it...? Once upon a time, there was a love story between Jeanne and Arthur. A perfect story. Perfect until Jeanne asked Arthur to go buy some milk and a stamp. It was, however, simple to remember. Once upon a time, there was a love story that Arthur would have liked to never forget.
Marie-Julie Baup and Thierry Lopez adapt and perform (alternately) the play In Other Words by the British author Matthew Seager. After a series of performances acclaimed by the critics at the last festival of Avignon, then at the Petit Saint-Martin (four Molières 2023), this intimate show around the Alzheimer’s disease settles at the Théâtre Actuel La Bruyère for its second season.
Our recommendation
"Forget Me" is a moving and introspective play that explores themes of love, loss, and resilience. The actors deliver shocking performances, supported by inventive staging and subtle writing. The minimalist scenography and the judicious use of light and music accentuate the dramatic intensity. It is a poignant theatrical experience that will leave a lasting impression. Do not miss this touching and profound work.
